Chicago, IL – October 26, 2026 – Zacks Equity Research shares Hasbro (HAS - Free Report) as the Bull of the Day and The Campbell's Company (CPB - Free Report) as the Bear of the Day. In addition, Zacks Equity Research provides analysis on Seagate Technology Holdings plc (STX - Free Report) .

Here is a synopsis of all three stocks:

Bull of the Day:

Hasbro is a leading games, IP, and toy company with over 160 years of expertise. It reaches over 500 million kids, families, and fans around the world through physical and digital games, video games, toys, licensed consumer products, location-based entertainment, film, TV, and more.

The stock sports a favorable Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), with EPS revisions on a bullish trajectory across the board.

Hasbro Reports Strong Quarterly Results

Hasbro posted strong quarterly results in its recent release, with revenue climbing 15% YoY to roughly $1.6 billion and adjusted earnings totaling $2.90 per share, up 72% from the year-ago period. The headline figures reflected a double-beat relative to our consensus estimates, with the company now exceeding the Zacks Consensus EPS estimate by an average of nearly 40% across its last four releases.

The Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming segment led the strong performance, with revenue jumping roughly 30% from the same period last year. Magic: The Gathering remained the biggest highlight, with quarterly sales surpassing $600 million for the first time and up 34% YoY.

Management raised its FY26 revenue growth outlook, adjusted EBITDA guidance, and its adjusted operating margin expectations. Shares are now up more than 30% over just the last three months, with the recent release reflecting the second consecutive post-earnings surge.

The stock is also a solid option for those with an appetite for dividends, with shares currently yielding 2.4% annually. The company also doubled its share buyback target in the above-mentioned release, further highlighting its shareholder-friendly nature.

Bottom Line

Investors can implement a stellar strategy to find expected winners by taking advantage of the Zacks Rank – one of the most powerful market tools that provides a massive edge.

The top 5% of all stocks receive the highly coveted Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy). These stocks should outperform the market more than any other rank.

Bear of the Day:

The Campbell's Company, together with its subsidiaries, is a worldwide manufacturer and marketer of high-quality, branded convenience food products.

The stock is currently a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), with EPS revisions showing a bearish nature across the board.

CPB Shares Can't Find Momentum

CPB shares have continued to see weak action in 2026, down roughly 25% and continuing a multi-year decline. Quarterly results have largely been disappointing as of late, with shares facing pressure following its latest earnings release on the back of a double-miss relative to our consensus EPS and sales estimates.

Concerning headline figures in its latest release, sales fell by nearly 8% YoY, whereas earnings were down 37%. Both earnings and sales growth have been weak for the company over the last several years, with the earnings decline much more pronounced.

CPB also cut its dividend payout following the above-mentioned period to help accelerate debt reduction. The company does remain confident in a potential turnaround, though, looking to mitigate recent cost headwinds while also leaning into new product innovation.

CPB's CEO on the recent results –

'Fourth quarter and fiscal 2026 results reflect top-line softness and inflation-driven margin headwinds. Our performance is not where it needs to be, and we are taking decisive action to improve it. We are increasing our focus on the consumer, sharpening execution, reducing costs to support investment in our brands, and strengthening our balance sheet, including resetting our dividend.'

Bottom Line

Negative earnings estimate revisions stemming from weak quarterly results paint a challenging picture for the company's shares in the near term.

The Campbell's Company is a Zacks Rank #5 (Strong Sell), indicating that analysts have taken a bearish stance on the company's earnings outlook.

For those seeking strong stocks, the best idea would be to focus on stocks with a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) or a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) – these stocks sport a notably stronger earnings outlook paired with the potential to deliver explosive gains in the near term.

Should You Buy, Hold, or Sell Seagate Stock Ahead of Q1 Earnings?

Seagate Technology Holdings plc is set to release first-quarter fiscal 2027 results after market close on Oct. 27. Investors will be keen to gain insights into the company's artificial intelligence (AI)-driven storage demand and growth prospects.

However, the question remains whether Seagate is an attractive buy ahead of its highly anticipated earnings report. Let's take a look.

Seagate's Fiscal Q1: What Investors Should Expect???

After a year of strong profitability, Seagate expects revenues and earnings to climb further. Seagate expects revenues of $4.1 billion, plus or minus $100 million, in the fiscal first quarter, according to the company's July 28 press release.

Revenue is expected to rise 13% sequentially as demand and product shipments strengthen. As AI creates more data, it will boost demand for mass-capacity storage, supported by Seagate's Mozaic platform and HAMR technology.

Further, Seagate's non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) are projected at $7.30, up almost 28% from $5.71 in fourth-quarter fiscal 2026, significantly outpacing projected revenue growth. This reflects improving operating leverage, a favorable product mix and strong pricing power.

Is Seagate Stock a Buy, Hold, or Sell Ahead of Q1 Earnings?

Seagate's fiscal first-quarter outlook points to strong business momentum and an increase in AI-led storage demand. Improved profitability may support further upside for the stock if results beat market expectations.

So, the question of selling the stock doesn't arise. In fact, Seagate has delivered an average earnings surprise of 12.4% over the past four quarters, raising the possibility of another strong performance in the fiscal first quarter, which could further catalyze the stock.???

Most importantly, Seagate generated $3.1 billion in free cash flow in fiscal 2026, a considerable improvement from $818 million in fiscal 2025. This robust cash generation has enabled Seagate to fund its own business, reduce its debt burden and strengthen its balance sheet.

Seagate appears more efficient than its peers at generating profits from shareholders' equity. This is because Seagate's return on equity (ROE) of 386.9% exceeds the Computer - Integrated Systems industry's ROE of 33.7%.?????????

Therefore, banking on AI-led storage demand, strong earnings momentum, robust cash flow, debt reduction and superior ROE, Seagate remains a compelling buy ahead of its much-awaited quarterly results. Seagate currently has a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy). You can see the complete list of today's Zacks Rank #1 stocks here.
